How are our automotive parts made?

Currently most of the products we have on offer are made using high precision 3D printing. This allows us to make components at relatively low volumes when compared to traditional high volume manufacturing methods. The other major advantage is that it allows us to construct parts which are not confined to the usual limitations of mass manufacturing.

For our bulkhead plate kits we have changed to CNC machining as this allowed us to manufacture in higher volume with more fit for purpose materials and construction.
All our parts are made from durable hardwearing plastics which are industry standard in the automotive world. Depending on the component they are also manufactured with UV and/or heat resistance.

We are doing our best to reduce plastic waste where possible. We utilise PLA plastics when prototyping new parts. PLA bioplastic is made from plant-based resources like corn, cassava and sugarcane and biodegradable. Unfortunately it is not suitable for production parts due to its low melting point and low strength.
